KidsRStrong2, also known as KRS2, is a 501(c)(3) public charity that was established in May 2014 in honor of Isaiah Gamble. At the age of 3, Isaiah was diagnosed with Pleuropulmonary Blastoma (PPB), Type 3. Upon his diagnosis he immediately underwent surgery to remove the tumor and received 12 rounds of chemotherapy, along with 25 rounds of radiation, prior to beginning his journey of living life post-therapy. Throughout Isaiah’s battle, the family received an array of support from numerous individuals, local businesses and organizations. The Gamble family decided to pay it forward and ensure that Isaiah’s diagnosis was not in vain, by becoming a blessing to others during their time of need.
KidsRStrong2 has a goal of bringing research, programs, and scholarships together. It is essential that cures are found, that families are supported, and that children are given the opportunity to fulfill their dreams, especially after battling a life-threatening illness.
KidsRStrong2 is a non-profit organization that focuses on establishing programs, funding research, and providing scholarships for survivors; all in an effort to bring awareness and support to childhood cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses, that are impacting the lives of children daily.
