Free Family Fun Day for children with life-threatening illnesses set for September 10
August 30, 2016
In an effort to support children with life-threatening illnesses, KidsRStrong2 (KRS2) is gearing up to host the 2016 KRS2 Family Fun Day at Victory Camp. The complimentary event will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2016 starting at 9:45 a.m. Victory Camp is located at 1407 Victory Ln., in Alvin, Texas.
“The goal is to simply provide a free opportunity that allows families to enjoy some quality time with one another, while strengthening their family bond,” said Tomika Gamble, president and founder of KidsRStrong2.
Children, youth and teens in attendance, as well as their families, will have the opportunity to participate in numerous indoor and outdoor activities throughout the day, such as basketball, arts and crafts, swimming, water slides, zip line, bumper boats, go-carts, bounce houses, and much more.
“Oftentimes when a child is enduring a life-threatening illness it is not only difficult on the child, but also on the entire family as a whole. This is just one small way that thanks to our many supporters and sponsors, we are able to serve families,” added Gamble.
The KidsRStrong2 Family Fun Day at Victory Camp has been made possible due to the support of many. To date sponsors of the event include: The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Neighbors Emergency Center - Pearland, HEB, Whataburger, Raising Canes, Faithful Audio Visual, Albert “AJ” Johnson – Farmers Insurance, CrossFit Reign of Pearland and Events by Mimi, as well as Addison J.
